We are Canadians. In 2010 our neighbors bought a vacation home in Florence and came home to Canada very excited about the weather, golf and many outdoor activities in the Phoenix area.

Cal Thurber has been building since he was fourteen. His first project was a garage and room addition he and his grandfather built for Cal’s dad. Mr. Thurber admits he likes the satisfaction of building something and saying, “I did that.”

Creative thinking makes this little shop shine, as seen in the whimsical carousel animals used to decorate the store just to keep it fun. Custer Floral and Gifts carries a wide variety treasures like windchimes, waxed scented bears, plush animals, balloons and cards. There’s something here for everyone. Gifts for both men and women are available. Pat uses different themes throughout her displays. Some of the most popular are country-western, gardening, golf, hunting, sports and fishing. Custer Floral and Gifts also carries many religious items that can be sold separately or incorporated into a design using silk or fresh flowers: angel figurines, crosses, stones and plaques. Fresh green plants, both bloomers and non-bloomers, adorn a large portion of the store as well.
Pat believes in delivering a quality product and excellent service. She uses the best flowers she can find and is willing to do whatever it takes to see a project through. Her goal is to try to be the very best at what she does and to make her clients happy.
Joedy Woodcock has been serving power sporters in the area for eighteen years. Oroville Cycle is stocked with equipment for sports from motocross to water skiing in the summer and snowmobiling to snow skiing in the winter. Joedy is involved in power sports himself and carries not only the best equipment, like wakeboards by HO or Hyper LIte, but also the best accessories, like Go Pro web cams, Oakley sunglasses and Troy Lee apparel. The real heartbeat of Oroville Cycle is the engine work Joedy does in the back. He started out repairing Harley-Davidsons and selling parts. Eventually he expanded to Watercraft and Jet Ski repairs, and engine overhauls. Now he has an inground dynomometer so he can diagnose and tune ATVs, UTVs, outlaw karts, dirt bikes and street bikes. If it has an engine, odds are good Joedy can tune it up, fix it, or rebuild it, especially if it’s designed to be fast.
Race engines are his speacalty. He knows what it takes to get top performance from an engine. He builds racing engines for Moto-X bikes, ATVs, and UTVs. His expertise is in high demand. Some people are willing to travel up to 500 miles to have Joedy build motors for them. That said, at Oroville Cycle every customer is important. Joedy is quick to share knowledge and advice with clients that call or visit his shop. He is a dealer for Dansa Racing, Fox, Tucker Rocky, Western Power Sports, and Parts Unlimited among others.

Imagine my panic when my boss, Terri Cole, (President/CEO of the GACC) came to me around noon on this past Thursday to let me know part of my responsibilities include updating and maintaining the NMCEA web site. Especially since I am not a “Web” kind of girl…I am used to submitting content and letting others make it “pretty.” Also, I had a deadline to get it done by this past Sunday at noon.
At any rate, Brian was on the phone with me in the evening hours on that Thursday, giving me tips and advice AND sent me links to help me navigate through Snapp-Pages (something I had never heard of until that ominous Thursday afternoon).
After we hung up, he sent me his contact information so I could reach out to him if necessary again. And, I did have to reach out to him – on Super Bowl Sunday of all days! I hate to bother anyone on their time off as I am a firm believer in quality of life for my staff.
He called me yesterday and understood the deadline I was under and helped with hyper-links as well as making the pages look “pretty.” Thanks to Brian’s help, I met my deadline.
Also, later that day, he called and left me a voice message to check in to see if everything was working okay. Always, when speaking with him, he was professional, friendly and extremely helpful.
These days, true Customer Service is something that is lacking in our businesses and it is sad. We have been accustomed to mediocre behavior and have to accept it. Brian went above and beyond “normal” and set the bar very high.

We chose to use Chamber Nation over the old membership platform when we merged two chambers in our community. At first, I was a little leery as the administrative area seemed less sophisticated than the one we had been using. After working with the "back office" for just two days I saw how easy Chamber Nation was to use and was very happy we had made the decision to switch to Chamber Nation.
I had an issue and called tech support. Ryan was extremely helpful and very professional and was able to answer my concern in just a few minutes of hearing what it was. I've called several times and each time, the tech person I spoke with showed the same courtesy and professionalism.
Ryan even set up a one-on-one webinar with me to walk me through the back office and answered all my questions.
When I run into trouble understanding something or not finding the answer in the help desk/files I simply submit a ticket and, usually within 24 hours, many times a lot faster, I have the answer in my inbox.
